The Parish Council holds an annual Civic Service and the Penketh Events Committee, which some of the Parish Councillors are members of, organise a firework display in November and Penketh Carnival in July at Greystone Rec.

The Council meets on the second Monday of the month at Penketh Parish Hall, Honiton Way Penketh and holds surgeries on the second Saturday of the month at Penketh Library, Honiton Way, Penketh the minutes of each meeting are held here. All are welcome to attend the meetings and per the Standing Orders the meeting allows approximately 20 minutes for public participation. No elector will be allowed to speak more than once on any subject, co-operation in this will be gratefully appreciated.
